    Our Favorite Pumpkin Patches in San Antonio – 2018 Edition

     

    It’s officially Fall y’all! If you are as obsessed with Fall as I am, you have been looking forward to this season since fall ended last year.  Fall is a family favorite in our household.  Pumpkin spice coffee and candles, pumpkin pie, decorating the entire house with fall decor, walking through Hobby Lobby just browsing (okay, buying too) their fall collection.  Seriously, we love it!

    With all that said, we have created a list of some of the best pumpkin patches in and around San Antonio! Check it out!

    PUMPKIN PATCHES IN & AROUND SAN ANTONIO:

    Helotes Hills United Methodist Church

    Open October 1–31; Sunday–Friday, 12:00–8:00 P.M., and Saturday, 10:00 A.M.–8:00 P.M.
    Free admission.
    Pumpkins start at 50¢. There are lots of photo opportunities and coloring activities for children.

    University United Methodist Student Ministry Pumpkin Patch

    Free admission.
    The pumpkins come from a small family-owned and -run farm in Rocky Ford, Colorado. The MOPS Artisan Market is October 13, 10:00 A.M.–2:00 P.M., where you can enjoy shopping, face painting, playgrounds and more for the kids along with the pumpkin patch.

    Bracken United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch

    Free admission.
    While exploring through the thousands of pumpkins throughout the property, you can shop, take pictures and enjoy the outdoors.  Proceeds from the pumpkins go back to the Indian reservations that grow them, as well as to support ministries of Bracken Church. Free train and hayrides are open on the weekends. They are also offering family photo sessions this year. Only a $5 fee in the patch and you will get that as a credit towards your digital album.

    The Good News Pumpkin Patch features a variety of pumpkins for purchase as well as hayrides, moon bounces, mazes, and laser tag for the kids on Sunday afternoons, movies on Saturday nights, and other special events.

    Owl Creek Pumpkin Patch

    Admission is $8 per person.
    The admission fee of $8 includes access to many photo ops with scarecrows and farm decorations, a scenic hayride, children’s play areas, hay maze, tire climbing area, petting zoo, pig races, a big corn play box and giant slide!  They have hundreds of pumpkins for you to buy, take home, or paint there! Well behaved dogs are permitted.  It’s beautiful there, so bring a camera.  Most years their creek fills to add a scenic pond in October!

    Admission is $15 for ages 2 and up. Includes Park Admittance, Musical Entertainment, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Barrel Train, Bungee Trampoline, Games, Inflatable Obstacle Course and Bounce Houses, Mechanical Bulls, 5 Kiddie Carnival Rides, visits by Super Heros and several areas set up to take the perfect family photo. Parking is free.

    Thousand Oaks Bible Church Pumpkin Patch

    Free photo ops and activities. There will be a huge selection of standard pumpkins along with other varieties such as orange and white minis, wee bees, spookies, and autumn wings. There will be a free community Fall Festival on Saturday, October 27 that will feature decorated car trunks, music, games, candy, food, bounce houses, and prizes.

    Pumpkin Play Days at Spring Creek Gardens

    For $5.00 each, your child may participate in Pumpkin Games, have their face painted, receive a fall cupcake and balloon, and paint one of Spring Creek’s homegrown pumpkins. There many activities for both children and adults. There will also be a professional lifestyle photographer hanging out in the pumpkin patch. For a small charge, they will be ready to snap some professional photos of your family enjoying the day! The Photographer will be there from 11am-4pm.

    Circle N Maze is located on 5.5 acres and includes a sugar skull maze, a maze for little ones, a huge pumpkin patch, picture stations, petting zoo with live baby animals, and more.

    Sweet Berry Farms

    *Please look at directions page for an accurate way to get to the farm. If you plug in the address into your phones GPS it might take you to the Marble Falls Cemetery.
    Although it’s a good drive from San Antonio, it’s worth it!  Sweet Berry Farms has a lot to do and you can spend all day there.  They have hayrides, pumpkin painting, horse rides, goats, food, face painting, wildflower picking, a small maze for toddlers and much more! No entry or parking fee, just pay for pumpkins and any activities you want to do! Check out their website for details and pricing! They also have coupons on their website!

    Barton Hill Farms

    Barton Hill Farms is another pumpkin patch that requires a drive. But, there is plenty to do to make a day out of it! Come out to Barton Hill Farms and make memories with friends and family!  They have fun activities for all ages!  From taking Fall photos and picking out your pumpkin in the pumpkin patch, to getting lost in the corn maze, jumping on the jumping pillow, playing human fooseball, corn hole, and more! They also have delicious food, cold drinks, beer & frozen sangria! Check out their website for more information!

    Devine Acres Farm

    Farm admission includes plenty of activities! Rubber duck races, scarecrow dressing, farm hayride, washers, horseshoes, sack races, cypress slides, Shady Oaks playground, Sand volleyball, blackberry maze, pumpkin maze, and more!     First United Methodist Church Seguin

    The 23rd annual First UMC Seguin pumpkin patch includes over 3,000 pumpkins!  Story Time in the Patch: Monday – Friday  9:00 am – 2:00 pm for children to come experience and enjoy Story Time in the Pumpkin Patch.
